Green Corduroy Bag
(December 2004)
This was a Christmas present for my oldest daughter. I used a very soft green corduroy that had a stain and couldn't be used for cothings. I stitched a very primitive pattern (which she loves). I lined the bag with checkered flannel and it has a small pocket inside. I made the ___ from the fabric itself, but it was a pretty tough job and made a big mess. But my daugther really likes it, it goes with her coat.

Quilted Fabric Tote
(December 2004)
And this was a Christmas present for my 9 year old daughter. She has started playing flute this fall and needed something to carry the flute case and all her music.
I had been given this qilted fabric (it's just a print) a while ago and couldn't figure out what to use it for. It was perfect for her, since he loves bright colors. I put a zipper in the top, so that the music wouldn't fall out and it has two outside pockets.

Recycled Gym Bags
(September 2004)
School has started and the girls needed gymbags. I had saved some old denim skirts and this was the perfect time to use them.
The two younger girls decorated their fronts with some fabric paint and the oldest sewed some ribbons on by her self (on a sewing machine). I put some elastic on the top, so that the sneakers wouldn't fall out, because they have to carry these to school three times a week.
