I ventured on something more complicated here and was very afraid how it would turn out. The fabric is very fine and also stretchy.

But it turned out wonderful! I made it for Miriam's 11th birthday. She loves it. It's made from Simplicity 5396. Size 12.

The waistline and the sleeves are shirred, something I have done for the first time in life. But worked out great. The neckline has a casing and an elastic in it.

I have much more of this fabric, so there are plans for blouses for the other girls as well.
