This is what actually got me sewing almost two years ago. I needed some new clothes, but I was nursing my son and decided to make some for myself. I am so thankful to my friends on the MOMYS Digest, who send me several Elizabeth Lee patterns and even some fabric. And then they helped me find the NMSL sewing list, which was so helpful with my first sewing attempts. I didn't actually sew too many in the end, mainly because I found out that it's very hard to make comfortable, flattering and functional nursing clothes out of woven fabrics, which is the only thing I had in the beginning. I wish I had experimented even more. Well, I am not nursing right now (my baby is 2 already!). But I am sure that this exprience will be very useful in the future (whether sewing them again for me =) or for somebody else). |
