ELD 307 Mock Twinset

November 2003

I made another view of the ELD 307. This time the twin set. It came out better because the fabric is a bit stretchy. Still not totally happy with the fit, but definitely wearable.

I think I shortened it a bit too much because now the front hem is standing up a little. The size is probably too large as well. I was trying to make a FBA and easing the dart in the side seam ( I couldn't picture a dart in what should look like a sweather), but it didn't look good at all. So I let out the side seams and just stitched them flat together, ending up with a longer front, which I just shortened. Not really the correct thing to do, but this way it can be worn.

The underlayer has extended armholes and I really like this kind of nursing openings. The neckline is too wide for a winter top, but this is something that could easily be fixed in the future.

Things I have learned:

~ I really like this kind of fabric, since I don't have to finish the edges!

~ this is a really great nursing top, if I can only figure out how to make a FBA on this style.
