| Sewing Machine Cover |
(May 2004)
After using my mom's old machine to sew so many things, I thought the machine deserved something too ~smile~. It had an old plastic cover, but it broke, so the maching was sitting there usually uncovered.
Since I would like to protect it and (and also hide it at times), I made a padded cover for it. It turned out to be a much more challenging job to figure out how to do it. But in the end I managed. It's fully lined and fits great. |

| Chair Cushions Covers |
April 2004
I have had left some fabric from the little curtain I had made for my kitchen. So, I decided to make some new seat covers for our kitchen chair cushions. The old one I made years ago were falling apart. I made them with elastic, because without anything they would constantly be on the floor and if I put ties on them, they would be ripped off on a regular basis (from the children climbing on to the chairs). The elastic seems to be good compromise - giving some flexibility and yet keeping the cushions on the chairs. |

| Baby Bike Seat Cover |
March 2004
With warm weather coming, Benjamin wants to get out more often. Since our main transport here is the bicycle, I had to do something about the old bicycle seat we had. It had a metal wire frame and then a padded plastic cover. But the plastic was all torn and not usable anymore. So, I cut it all apart, took out the foam padding, washed it and then cut a new over out of fabric. It's not waterproof, but looks much better now. We just have to remember to take it of when we go in. The good side is that it's washable if it gets dirty or even wet. |

| Bumper Pads |
Semptember 2003
I made some bumper pads from a scrap of cute fabric, some ribbon from my stash and some foam that was left over from a previous project.
Now Benjamin won't bump his head into the crib anymore. |

| Bible Cover |
September 2003
I made this Bible Cover for my Tabita's 8th Birthday. She had gotten her own Bible from grandpa and we didn't want it to get damaged.
Miriam, my 10y. daughter stitched the words and the flowers and then I incorporated them into the mini-quilt.
The first cover I made was too small, so I had to take the stitching out and try again. Thankfully I had put some interfacing on it, so it didn't get damaged. She loved the cover from mom and sister.
