My girls and me made this pillow as a present for a friend from the US who visited us last Christmas.

The girls designed the face and cut out the applique pieces. My oldest stitched their names on the back with embroidery floss.

We cut apart a very old comforter and used the batting to make the pillow itself.

I made these Christmas pillows from little scraps of fabric that I had gotten in an Amish town in PA frour years ago.

I love the Noah's ark theme and I love the colors. I had pieced the fronts of these pillows together two years ago, but I used some very thin fabric for the backs and so they fell apart.

I had also slip stitched the openings and it tore.

So, this year I took the pillows apart, made new back and actually sewed in zippers. This way they can be taken off and washed.
