I had a off-white x-large tshirt that I couldn't wear at all and it had a stain. So, I dyed the shirt, then cut it apart and sewed a new shirt based on the pin-traced pattern I have.

Since I didn't have anything matching for the neckline and there was not enought fabric left over, I trimmed with with the purple decorative elastic.

The only mistake I made is that I didn't use a double needle on the sleeve hems. I will probably have to redo them, because they are not elastic enough. But I love the shirt.
